Avoid These Costly Mistakes

โŒ Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) โ€” always pay in local currency, not INR, when card machine asks
โŒ Exchanging all cash at airport โ€” rates are 4โ€“6% worse than authorised dealers
โŒ Using credit card without informing bank โ€” card may be blocked for fraud suspicion
โŒ Bringing back unspent foreign currency too late โ€” must convert within 60 days of return under RBI rules
โŒ Loading one card only โ€” always have a backup card from a different network (Visa + Mastercard)
โŒ Ignoring TCS โ€” for remittances above โ‚น7 lakh, 20% TCS applies but can be claimed in your annual ITR
